PACE: Progressive Auditory Communication Education Program
Conversations with family, a busy restaurant or a fast-moving discussion can place different demands on your listening. Aural rehabilitation looks at your communication needs as a whole. Auditory training is one part of that care.
Our comprehensive PACE program combines auditory training with practical communication education and personalized support. We work with you to identify your goals, select suitable practice and review your progress.

Lace Pro: training that fits your daily life
Lace Pro is the AI-powered auditory training platform we incorporate into PACE. You can practice at home using a smartphone, tablet or computer, with activities designed to challenge listening and speech-understanding skills.
Training can include listening to speech with background noise, following faster speech and practicing other skills used in everyday conversations. Your audiologist helps you understand how the exercises fit your personal rehabilitation plan.
Hearing technology helps provide access to sound. Auditory training adds structured listening practice, while the wider PACE program supports communication in daily life.
AUDITORY PROCESSING SUPPORT
Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD)
CAPD affects how the central auditory nervous system processes sound. A person may hear sounds but have difficulty making sense of speech, particularly when there is background noise or someone speaks quickly.
These difficulties can have several causes. An audiological assessment helps us understand your hearing and listening needs and determine whether further auditory processing evaluation is appropriate.
For individuals with auditory processing disorders, PACE can bring targeted listening practice and communication education into an individualized care plan. The activities and support are selected around your needs and reviewed with your audiologist.

Our annual service package provides access to PACE for individuals with auditory processing disorders, people using hearing aids purchased from another facility and people with cochlear implants.
