Local Hearing Care & Audiology Experts for Baker City, OR

Baker City, the county seat of Baker County, Oregon, was named after Edward D. Baker, the only U.S. Senator to ever be killed in military combat when he led a charge of 1,700 Union Army soldiers up a ridge at Ball's Bluff, Virginia, during the American Civil War in 1861. Our community houses the Roman Catholic Diocese of Baker, established in 1903, which led to the construction of the Saint Francis de Sales Cathedral in Baker City.

A center for arts and culture in Northeast Oregon, Baker City hosts the Miner’s Jubilee the third weekend of July and includes a 42-acre Baker Historic District that is home to the Main Street commercial district, the nine-story Baker City Tower (1929), the Geiser Hotel (1889), the Oregon Trail Regional Museum, and the Crossroads Art Center. The Bureau of Land Management also manages the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center just outside of Baker City, and our community is host to the Baker City Cycling Classic and the Hell's Canyon Motorcycle Rally.

The Journey to Better Hearing Starts with a Comprehensive Hearing Assessments

Hearing loss often comes on slowly over months and years without you being aware of it, but its damage is irreversible and can lead to additional negative mental and physical health conditions, such as dementia and balance disorders when left untreated.

Comprehensive hearing examinations are diagnostic examinations of your ears and hearing, which are able to identify both temporary and permanent hearing challenges as well as other medical conditions often associated with hearing loss.

Though not all hearing challenges require hearing aids, a comprehensive hearing assessment provides the necessary data to select and program the right hearing device to serve your unique hearing needs.

Safe Professional Earwax Removal for Northeast Oregon

Are your ears feeling a bit full or stuffy? Muffled sounds, pressure, and aching in your ears are common signs associated with impacted earwax.

We understand that earwax buildup is frustrating and irritating, but before you start digging in your ears with a cotton swab, take a moment to understand that you are likely to do more harm than good by trying to manage earwax without the help of an audiology professional.

Earwax is nature’s janitorial service for your ears. It is designed to remove the dirt, debris, fungi, and bacteria from the ear canal to help prevent infection of your eardrum and outer ear. However, when it builds up and becomes impacted, you can not only damage the structures of your ear but upset the natural pH balance that helps keep your ears healthy.

Our earwax removal professionals have helped hundreds of individuals in Northeast Oregon get the relief they need from impacted earwax using safe, professional earwax removal techniques and technologies.

Northeast Oregon’s Cochlear Implant Specialists

Permanent hearing loss impacts the lives of millions of people of all ages in all parts of the world. Most of them find the solution to their hearing challenges and a better quality of life from hearing aids, but there are some who require an alternative solution to improve hearing clarity when hearing aids aren’t enough.

Children or adults hoping to improve hearing clarity and more natural sound turn to our audiologists to facilitate better communication and better hearing using cochlear implants. These surgically implanted electronic devices can enhance hearing clarity in order to elevate speech and language processing abilities in children as young as six to twelve months on up to adolescents and adults.

Although cochlear implant technology has been around since the 1970s, few people truly understand what it is, how it is used, and who reaps the most benefits from it.
