Hear For The Holidays Winners – Their Jabra Enhance Plus Journey

03/11/2022 | News, Patient Resources

Not long ago, we announced that we would be changing someone’s life for the better.

Through our Hear for the Holidays giveaway, residents were invited to nominate someone special, sharing their story with the world.

The lucky winner would be gifted with a pair of premium hearing aids, as well as gain access to our ongoing expert audiological care.

All you had to do was fill out a simple form on our website, explaining why you think they deserve to win.

After much careful consideration, we concluded – there were two clear winners. One of them was Sandy White, and the other was Beth Weasley.

In this instance, Beth won a pair of Jabra Enhance hearing aids, as well as access to our ongoing audiological care. We can’t wait to share her story because we know you’re going to love her!

What Is The Jabra Enhance Plus?

As a relatively new device to the market, the Jabra Enhance Plus is for those with a  slight to mild hearing loss.

It is a self-fitting device that users take control of themselves, in comparison to regular hearing aids which are fitted by an audiologist in a clinic.

The reason they have become so popular is because they are an easily accessible device that can be purchased online. It also offers a range of impressive features, including adaptive directionality, made-for iPhone compatible streaming, Bluetooth 5.3 for enhanced connectivity, and many more.

Winner, Beth:

Recently, Beth was hired to teach art at Elgin High School. While she is a tremendously hard worker that puts her all into everything she does, she is struggling with her hearing each day.

This has meant that her performance is somewhat inhibited work-wise.

With that said, the benefits hearing aids provide would extend beyond Beth to everyone she interacts with, including her friends and family.

She was in desperate need of hearing aids, and with her suffering from a normal peripheral hearing loss, we knew she would be a great fit for the Jabra Enhance Plus device.

So, What Did Beth Think About The Jabra Enhance Plus?

Once we announced Beth as the winner of our Hear for the Holidays giveaway, we invited her into the clinic to try out her new devices.

Throughout this time, we monitored her progress over 10 days, asking her to share her feedback on the Jabra Enhance Plus.

Beth wore the Jabra Enhance Plus for about an hour a day, primarily for streaming while exercising.

She loves the quality of the streaming for phone calls and listening to audiobooks.

However, she tried the devices in a restaurant with friends but struggled to adapt to her voice and thought that it was harder to focus on others around her during a conversation.

While she didn’t find them as useful in the classroom as she’d hoped, she admitted that she only tried them once in that setting.

Although Beth is still adjusting to her new devices, we feel so grateful to be in this position of giving.

Hear for the Holidays is one way we hope to give back to the community that serves us, especially after the year that we’ve had.
