Access Audiology Provides Home-Based, Continuous Hearing Care

Communication is essential for interacting with the world around us. Methods of communication continue to change as technology provides us with more devices for communicating as well as greater levels of performance.

Teleconferencing or video conferencing is among the most valuable advancements available for enhancing our capacity to keep up with each other.

Access Audiology from Audiology & Hearing Aid Associates uses the technological advancements of teleconferencing and remote hearing aid programming to enhance your hearing healthcare wherever you are –on the go or stuck at home.

Because hearing health is not something that can be put on hold, A&HAA has risen to the challenge of our current circumstances by providing this solution that allows our patients to continue to have face-to-face support from an audiologist and their hearing health needs met even when situations and circumstances prevent a physical consultation.

What is Access Audiology?

Access Audiology allows you to connect with the audiologists at AHAA and engage in a face-to-face conversation using your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. In the event that you do not have internet service from home or the necessary devices, we have drive-in solutions available.

This service is the ideal response to the challenges produced by movement restrictions related to COVID-19, but we see its potential extending to circumstances well beyond the current crisis.

The objective of Access Audiology is to make it easier for our most vulnerable patients to stay up-to-date with their hearing healthcare and hearing aid device assistance through a face-to-face consultation.

Because Better hearing healthcare in La Grande, Union County, and beyond is a concern to us, Audiology & Hearing Aid Associates extends our service to those who are not among our customers.

Regardless of whether you are having issues with your hearing aids or other assisted listening devices or need advice from a professional hearing specialist, you can take advantage of our Access Audiology service without obligation.

One of the greatest benefits of our teleaudiology service includes remote adjustment of late model hearing instruments by our audiologist during your Access Audiology appointment.

Air Pollution In Oregon And What We’re Doing About It

Oregon state is facing a real environmental challenge right now.

Year on year, the fire season has been starting earlier and lasting longer, and the smoke from the wildfires is seriously impacting the air. This impact is causing sudden fluctuations in air quality, meaning we can easily go from great to toxic very suddenly.

As you would expect, changes to our air quality poses some serious health risks, most notably to our cognitive health.

Check the OregonAir App on Android or iOS to see what the air quality is in your area right now.

As a team, we are all very aware of the significant risks venturing out into toxic, smoke-ridden air can have on our patients’ health, which is why, when the air quality is bad, we have a process in place whereby we will gladly switch your in-person appointment to a remote (telehealth) session or drive-in appointment.

Switching to a remote session is very easy, and you can either call us, or click the button below to schedule it yourself.

If you do decide to come in to our office for your appointment, then please be aware that we do not have a waiting room, so please call us as soon as you arrive so we can get you straight into your room, which has air purifiers to help keep the air clean.
