How To Install ReSound Hearing Aid Software

07/13/2021 | Hearing Aids, Technology

Our team at Audiology & Hearing Aid Associates is passionate about helping patients long after being fitted with their devices.

This is why we do everything we can to provide helpful resources for our valued hearing aid users to ensure they make the most out of their devices and increase their quality of life.

The majority of my patients love their ReSound hearing aids but often need support in installing and updating the software.

Ensuring your ReSound devices are up to date is essential in ensuring you reap the most benefits from your hearing aids.

This short article explains step-by-step how to install new software updates to your ReSound hearing aids using the ReSound app.

You Will First Recieve a Notification

When a software update is ready for your hearing aids, you will receive a notification directly in the app. Tap Install to begin the installation now, or Later to install it when it’s more convenient for you. If you tap Later, a notification badge on My ReSound will remind you to install your new settings later.

Information

You will see which new software version is available for your hearing aids. A message will also be included to explain what is in the update.

Installing New Hearing Aid Software

Prior to installing new settings, insert fresh batteries in your hearing aids or ensure your hearing aids are fully charged. Remove your hearing aids and keep them next to your smartphone. In the following steps, the app guides you through the flow. The green checkmark tells you when the installation is complete.

Tap Close, and you’re ready to go.

Tara Schmidt

Tara Schmidt graduated with her Doctorate Degree in Audiology from Idaho State University and has been helping La Grande to achieve better hearing since joining the Audiology & Hearing Aid Associates team. Her favorite part of her role is helping patients by evaluating their hearing, discussing their communication concerns, and providing a treatment plan to meet their needs. A stand-out moment during her time at Audiology & Hearing Aid Associates has been: “I really enjoy being able to share in our patient’s successes and challenges. Learning about hearing loss, and how to effectively repair communication breakdowns is very important for not just our patient’s but their families as well. When I have a patient that comes in for a follow-up and they are smiling, I know I’ve helped them to overcome what had been a very concerning and (sometimes) isolating period in their life.”
