Important Information [COVID-19 Update, March 18th 2020]

03/18/2020 | Patient Resources

Having cared for the hearing health in our Eastern Oregon community since 1982, Audiology & Hearing Aid Associates are taking preventative measures to ensure that the health and welfare of patients is the number one priority during the challenges presented by COVID-19.

While closely monitoring the recommendations of the CDC, an seven-step plan has been developed to ensure your safety.

#1 – Rescheduling Routine Appointments

All patients that are scheduled for routine maintenance checks and non-urgent appointments are currently being contacted and rescheduled. If you have an upcoming appointment, please call us at (541) 612-7555

#2 – Please Ensure You’re in Good Health

In the same way that our team’s health is being monitored daily through temperature checks and routine hand hygeine, you are kindly asked to reschedule your appointment if you have had a fever, difficulties breathing or cough, or if you are at higher risk of getting sick (have heart disease, diabetes or lung disease).

#3 – No Walk-in Appointments

The waiting room is temporarily closed to minimize your time spent in the office. This has been achieved by having extended availability to see patients as soon as they arrive with more spaced appointments. This means that walk-in appointments are currently unavailable.

#4 – Hand Washing on Arrival

All patients must wash their hands upon arrival, hand sanitizer is provided as soon as you enter the office.

#5 – Thorough Cleaning Between Appointments

Between appointments, additional time has been scheduled to thoroughly clean all surfaces and ensure each patient is entering a sterile environment.

#6 – Minimum Company for Appointments

You’re kindly asked to bring a maximum of one person with you for your appointment, and ideally visit alone if possible.

#7 – Spring Clean Closure

During March 25-27th, our clinic will be closing for professional spring cleaning with COVID-19 developments being carefully monitored, further updates will be announced through our website.

With not just your hearing health, but your overall health being an absolute priority during these difficult times, please know that the entire team at Audiology & Hearing Aid Associates are here for you.

Depending on the developments, we are currently planning a curbside service for hearing aid maintenance, repair and collection.

For all updates, please visit our blog for the latest announcements.
