In the US, a staggering 1 in 8 people suffer from hearing loss, meaning almost 13% of the population are limited in living their life to its full potential.

It continues to shock us daily how many people are secluded from accessing amazing hearing care, unaware of how it will change their life dramatically.

However, we know that it takes the average person 7-10 years to book themselves in for a comprehensive hearing assessment. That’s why we took our role, as hearing care experts, to give those a push who need it most.

Our Hear for the Holidays giveaway was launched in November and allowed someone special to access comprehensive hearing care and a complimentary hearing aid in La Grande and the surrounding areas.

All you had to do was submit a brief paragraph explaining why you think your loved one deserves to win and how it would impact their life, leaving the decision to our team of experts.

After reading a torrent of heartfelt stories, we were overwhelmed by the kind-hearted nature of so many of you, and we are so proud to call you patients of Audiology and Hearing Aid Associates.

Although there was only one winner, it helped to spread some much-needed positivity and highlight what’s truly important, especially during these challenging times.

Finally, Audiology and Hearing Aid Associates is happy to announce the winner as Mabel Brookshire!

Winner

Nominated by Cora LeBold, Mabel Brookshire is well known in the community for her sweet and giving nature, always helping others wherever she can.

As a mentor, she has helped Cora through her hearing care process, cheering her on with endless support. Through her loyalty to Cora, she wanted to give back to Mabel, allowing her to experience the joy of hearing.

It was such an honor to meet Mabel and give her the tool to communicate better with her family, grandchildren, and friends. Above all, changing her life for the better.
